Class Recordings
It is the policy of the criminal justice department that pedagogy is the intellectual property of the instructor and thus protected by law. Further, it is the position of the department that electronic recording and/or transmission of classes substantially impairs fundamentally important open discourse in the classroom. Therefore, electronic recording and/or transmission of classes is prohibited without the express written permission of the instructor. Such permission is to be considered unique to the needs of an individual student, i.e., ADA compliance, and not a license for permanent retention or electronic dissemination to others.
