James Mardock

James Mardock joined the Department of English as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2006. He has an M.A. in Shakespeare Studies from the Shakespeare Institute in Stratford-upon-Avon, and a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin, where he specialized in early English literature, particularly drama. His dissertation was on the representations and uses of London space by seventeenth-century dramatists, and he is currently writing a book on playwright Ben Jonson. He is also an occasional actor, director, and dramaturge, and taught previously at Ripon College, in Wisconsin.
