Stacy Gordon is an associate
professor in the Department of Political Science and is currently serving
as chair of that department. Along with Core Humanities 203, she teaches
courses on American political institutions, interest groups and political
behavior. She is especially interested in the study of how political money
influences the behavior of legislators at both the federal and state level
and has just recently published a book on this topic, Campaign
Contributions and Legislative Voting Behavior: A New Approach, with Routledge. She has
also been working on the topic of minority representation in the United
States and co-authored a book chapter in Diversity and Democracy, published
by University of Virginia Press. Her work has been published in the Journal
of Politics and Comparative Political Studies.
