Minor in Art (18-21 credits)

Students majoring in another field may minor in art by completing one of the following specializatios:

    1. ART STUDIO--21 credits
      1. ART 100--Visual Foundations (3 credits)
      2. ART 101--Drawing (3 credits)
      3. ART 260R--Survey of Art History I (3 credits)
      4. ART 261--Survey of Art History II (3 credits)
      5. Three additional courses from the following list:
        ART 135R--Beginning Photography
        ART 211--Ceramics I
        ART 216--Sculpture I
        ART 224--Beginning Printmaking
        ART 231--Painting I
        ART 245--Digital Media I (9 credits)
    2. ART HISTORY* --21 credits
      1. *Studio Art majors may use only ART 100 and one other studio art course (listed above) to complete this minor specialization. Studio art majors may not use required Art History courses ( ART 260R , ART 261 ) to complete this minor specialization. Therefore, Studio Art Majors will require five additional Art History courses not taken for the major to complete the Art History minor specialization.
