Students
Consider Studying Abroad
The College of Liberal Arts requires foreign language study of most of our majors, and we urge our students to study abroad. A semester of learning and living in another culture is unmatchable. One of our graduates, Joel Kiraly (English, 2008) put it this way: “Studying abroad connected me to the world in ways I had never thought of. I developed a sense of place in the global community.”

Each year our college gives several study-abroad scholarships, and additional financial aid for overseas study is available from many of our departments and from the University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC) for students choosing USAC programs.
