PERSPECTIVES - Nicole Martin
"I was thrilled to study Hispanic Literature with students from around the world and experience Buenos Aires, a dynamic city of 13 million people, known as the 'Paris of the South.'" --Nicole Martin (English and Spanish), Class of 2008
Nicole Martin lived and studied abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina, during the fall semester of 2007, thanks in part to the College of Liberal Arts Study Abroad Scholarship. Nicole attended La Universidad de Belgrano in order to study with a professor who was a student of the great Argentine writer, Jorge Luis Borges. During her semester abroad, Nicole maintained her 4.0 university grade point average while taking a full load of courses in Spanish. She also traveled around South America and made friends from around the world. Nicole confirms that the Argentine beef is rightfully famous, and she confesses to taking tango lessons.
