Dr. Webber teaches writing and rhetoric courses for first-year students, English-Writing majors, and graduate students.
In his dissertation, Professor Webber analyzed the national debate over the Common Core State Standards, with a focus on public engagement in K-12 literacy education policy. Based on this research, he is developing articles for rhetorical scholars, writing teachers, and teacher educators. He is also studying how K-16 articulation shapes writing instruction in Northern Nevada.
Dr. Webber's interest in high school-college relationships is shaped by his training and experience: before studying in New Hampshire, he taught high school English in Vermont for five years.
