In And Around Our Town

The National Alliance for Community Media gave a special Wave Award to the producers of a TV documentary. "Diamonds for a Glass of Water," Saturday in Santa Monica, CA. Joseph Galata, Sierra Nevada Community Access Television chairman, accepted the award on behalf of SNCAT, the Baha'i Television Teaching Institute in Reno and Viktoria Hertling, director of the Center for Holocaust, Genocide & Peace Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno. Hertling's documentary, "Memories of the Holocuast," was produced with KNPB-TV in Reno and was nominated for an Emmy last year. Excerpts were included in "Diamonds for a Glass of Water."
