Argentine Author at UNR

Argentine-Jewish author Alicia Steimberg will be giving a lecture and reading from her latest novel to be translated into English, “Call Me Magdalena.”

Steimberg is a well known, award-winning author. Call Me Magdalena received the prestigious Premio Planeta (Argentina) in 1992. It is the story of a woman who conducts the reader through her tortuous childhood as an Argentina Jew and through her doubts about morality and mortality, the existence of God, and the amorphous nature of identity.

Steimberg will be at UNR on November 1st. Her lecture, reading, and booksigning will be at 7:00 pm in COE 2023.
