Activities
The Gedenkdienst Interns at the Center for Holocaust, Genocide & Peace Studies work in various fields. Projects cover a wide range of academic activities and community outreach:

One of the most important projects at this time is visiting Elementary, Middle and High Schools in and around Reno to talk to students about the Holocaust, Gedenkdienst, and Austria.
Preparation of exhibits on the Holocaust from the Center's archives in conjunction with the director, board members, staff, and volunteers. Interns also work on online-versions of there exhibits.
Selection and development of materials, and lessons plans for the ongoing peace curriculum project. This curriculum, for children ages 10-15, teaches peace consciousness, tolerance, and conflict resolution skills through literature and the arts.
Organization of community events such as a concert with music that was banned by the Nazis, jewish liturgical music, and music that was performed in the Theresienstadt camp.
Development of and participation in a video documentary. This video is a follow-up to an award-winning documentary on five Holocaust survivors and liberators of concentration camps who live in Nevada.
Production of CenterNews, bulletin.
Maintenance of the Center's Web page.
