New Courses from Career Development!
Career Development has dramatically revamped its traditional career exploration course and it is now divided into two courses, specifically designed to meet student needs more effectively. In addition, Career Development is pleased to teach a new internship course to meet the needs of students in majors without an internship per se. Each course, ACE 210 and ACE 310 are unique in their content, but also compliment one another
ACE 210 and ACE 310 are ten weeks and five weeks in length, respectively. Students may take one or any combination of these course offerings.
The catalog descriptions for ACE 210 and ACE 310 are:
ACE 210: Development of the self-knowledge, research, and decision-making skills necessary to make informed choices related to academic and career options. Prerequisite: Sophomore standing. (2 credits; letter graded)
ACE 310: Preparation of an individualized job search or graduate school plan, which includes: research, networking, résumé, cover letter or personal statement writing, interviewing, salary negotiating. Prerequisite: Sophomore standing. (1 credit, letter graded)
