Career Navigator (UNR's Premier Online Job Board) accepts part-time, temporary, hourly, and full-time positions. Positions should be those that require some level of college-level skill or knowledge. For reporting to the federal government and to NSHE, we need statistics on the number of available jobs on and off campus for students, how many were filled, and how many students worked on and off-campus. The University's strategic plan has a goal that speaks to developing more on-campus opportunities. Positions for students and Career Navigator's database provide accurate information to assess this goal.
Login to your Career Navigator account and click "View Job Postings" under quick links. All positions posted under your Employer account are available to view and edit as necessary by clicking on the Job Title of each one.
On-campus employers must use the NetID assigned by the University. To activate the NetID please go to http://computing.unr.edu/authenticate.html. Off-campus employers can only view job postings through their employer account.
Login to Career Navigator. Click on "account" and in this page you can update contact information. Contact Career Development to update your username (email address) or business license number.
Complete the posting information and click "assign a Job Board number only" at the bottom of the page. You will be asked to indicate the number of students you hired, enter the number of students hired, and then submit. The posting is added to the database and remains available for you to access later to edit or post.
Career Navigator account, select the red quick link "View Your UNR Job Posting". Then select the position title you wish to remove. Scroll towards the bottom of the form and enter the number of UNR students hired (0 is an acceptable option). Change the CLOSING DATE to a date in the past. Select "Submit".
We must report the number of University students hired. If you hired more than you indicated were available when you posted the position, just indicate number hired. You do not need to edit the original posting.
Login to your Career Navigator account. Click on the quick link (to the right) that says "View Your UNR Job Postings". Click on the Job Title of the position you want to edit. Make any change to the job posting form and select "Submit". Allow 24 hours for position to be released.
You are required to obtain new Job Board numbers on July 1. A posted position remains active for 45 days. After that time, it is automatically deleted from students' viewing. You may request additional 45 day posting periods if you have not filled the position.
