Prepare for the Fair

A multi-station, drop-in event for students to gain insight, advice and experience on being a better prepared career fair attendee/job applicant. Stations include Dress for Success, First Impressions, Résumé Critiques, Mock Interviews, Career Resource Stations and Professional Headshots.

Employer Information

We need help from employers to conduct mock interviews, résumé critiques and run mock career fair booths. We are looking for professionals from all industries to better help students across the University.
There are three different sessions you can sign up for:

Option 1: 10:00am - 2:00pm
Option 2: 10:00am - 12:00pm
Option 3: 10:00am - 2:00pm

Student Information

This event will help you prepare yourself to talk to employers at our Annual Spring Career Fair. There will be multiple stations that will get you ready to impress employers and help you obtain a part time, full time or internship position. There are professionals from many different industries that will help you fine tune your résumé and help you through a mock interview.

Stations include:

  • How to use Social Media to Attract Employers
  • Mock Career Fair Booths
  • Professional Headshots
  • Résumé Critiques
  • Mock Interviews

Networking Reception

This event is held the evening prior to the Annual Spring Career Fair in order to give employers and students an opportunity to interact in a more casual setting. Employers are there to answer questions students may have about their company's open positions, general job search process, or anything else that the student would like to learn more about.

Employer Information

This is a great opportunity to meet students prior to the career fair. However, if your company is not attending the fair this semester you are still more than welcome to come and network with the students of the University. This event is open to students of all majors.

Student Information

Be sure to dress either business casual or business professional and bring some business cards. You can design your own business cards through Microsoft word and you can find paper to print your business cards on at any office supply store. This event is open to students of all majors.
