Minor in Economic Policy

The Minor in Economic Policy is designed to prepare students for positions as economic and statistical analysts in policy and government organizations. The number of students pursuing a minor in business at the University of Nevada, Reno has been climbing rapidly in recent years, and for good reason. More students are realizing that with the option of a business minor, they can major in their principal academic interest, but also import real business knowledge that makes them attractive to employers. Earning a minor business degree also allows the student to stand out and be noticed. For example, a student with a B.S. in Political Science  who also earns a Minor in Economics Policy not only has real knowledge about government policy and policy best practices, but also has the skills necessary to make well-reasoned and informed monetary policy decisions.
