Outstanding Senior Award
Each spring semester, the Business Student Council recognizes graduating seniors that have gone above and beyond during their time in the College of Business. If you are graduating in December 2014 or in 2015, and you believe that you have had a positive impact on the College of Business, apply for the College of Business Outstanding Senior Award!
If chosen you will be recognized at the College of Business Honors and Awards Banquet, where you will have the opportunity to network with the top business professionals in the Reno area.
Apply online or in person in AB 407. Applications are due by December 23 at noon. Applications can be returned to AB 407, or can be emailed (as .doc files) to email@example.com with the subject line as [Your Last Name, Your First Name].
To apply for this award, applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Will receive their undergraduate degree in December 2014 or anytime in 2015 (May or December)
- Declared major in the College of Business
- Must be able to attend the College of Business Honors and Awards Banquet on Friday, March 6, 2015
2014 Most Outstanding Senior
Raised in a family with 9 University of Nevada Alumni, Richard Corn has shown his passion for the university through strong academics, campus involvement, and volunteerism. Starting freshman year he joined ASUN and spent much of his time advocating for students from the College of Business as well as the university as a whole. He has held ASUN positions including Member-at-Large, Senator, Vice-President, and Chief Presidential Aid. Richard was also involved is residential life both as a member of Residence Hall Association his freshman year and by working as a Resident Assistant his Sophomore Year. In addition, Richard loves to teach and held the position of Supplementary Instruction Leader for Finance 301. Here, he was able to share his enthusiasm for finance and helped students learn the fundamentals of the major. In the College of Business Richard became involved in the Professional Business Fraternity Delta Sigma Pi and was the Vice-President of Finance for two semesters as well as the Vice-President of Pledge Education for one Semester. For the last 2 semesters Richard has held an internship at Kafoury, Armstrong & Co. and is excited to be starting his career there upon graduation in May 2014. Finally, Richard is proud to have maintained a cumulative 3.88 GPA during his time at the university.
