Outstanding Senior Award

Each spring semester, the Business Student Council recognizes graduating seniors that have gone above and beyond during their time in the College of Business. If you are graduating in December 2012 or in 2013, and you believe that you have had a positive impact on the College of Business, apply for the College of Business Outstanding Senior Award!

If chosen you will be recognized at the College of Business Honors and Awards Banquet, where you will have the opportunity to network with the top business professionals in the Reno area.

Download the application or apply in person in AB 409. Applications are due by December 19 at 4 pm and can be returned to AB 409, or can be emailed (as .doc files) to unr.bsc@gmail.com with the subject line as [Your Last Name, Your First Name].

To apply for this award, applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Will receive their undergraduate degree in December 2012 or anytime in 2013
  • Declared major in the College of Business
  • Must be able to attend the College of Business Honors and Awards Banquet on Friday, March 8, 2013

2012 Most Outstanding Senior

Meredith McBrideMeredith McBride is a Finance and International Affairs major specializing in Asian Studies, and is a member of the Dean's List. She has been a brother of Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity for four years, holding positions including Brotherhood Chair, Social Chair, Vice President Pledge Education, Senior Vice-President, and Chancellor. She is currently the Professional Activities Chair for the Business Student Council and is an active member of Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity. Every April, she works for the American Bar Association Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section as a witness for mock trials. Outside of school, Meredith volunteers for the Washoe County Court System as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children in the Reno area who are victims of abuse and neglect. She plans to enroll in a law program in the fall of 2013 to pursue a degree in international law.
