Each spring semester, the Business Student Council recognizes graduating seniors that have gone above and beyond during their time in the College of Business. If you are graduating in December 2013 or in 2014, and you believe that you have had a positive impact on the College of Business, apply for the College of Business Outstanding Senior Award!
If chosen you will be recognized at the College of Business Honors and Awards Banquet, where you will have the opportunity to network with the top business professionals in the Reno area.

Born and raised in Sparks, Nevada, Colby Fountain is a prime example of a student that has gone above and beyond during his time at the University. He has been involved at the University of Nevada, Reno since his freshman year, and has only grown more involved and passionate about the University and the College over time. Colby has worked full-time throughout his college career, but still found time to be a member of the Business Student Council, Peer Mentors, and Delta Sigma Pi; acts as an Associate Justice for the Associated Students of the University of Nevada; and is a two-time team captain for the Men's Lacrosse team. In 2010, he was selected to the prestigious USA Starz traveling lacrosse team, and traveled to Australia as a representative of the sport and the University. He is currently the External Relations Chairperson for the Business Student Council, a position he created within the council to strive for student engagement. In addition, Colby is a member of Alpha Tau Omega, serving as the New Member Educator. In 2012, he received the award of Most Outstanding Brother. Finally, Colby also serves on the Student Conduct Board, and is a member of the Healthy and Sober Coalition which works with faculty on campus issues. Colby will graduate with an Economics degree in May 2012, and will travel to Europe during the 2013 summer before beginning work for Sierra Nevada Corporation.
