After taking nominations from College of Business students over a five day period, the Business Student Council is proud to present the nominations for the Outstanding Faculty Member of the Year award. The College of Business prides itself on its outstanding faculty as evidenced by the number of nominations.

Alice Wieland is an Assistant Professor at the University of Nevada, Reno. Her research agenda intersects the fields of gender, entrepreneurship and judgment and decision-making. She obtained her PhD in 2012 from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Before entering the PhD program she had over 10 years work experience in accounting, corporate finance and consulting; several of those years were in a managerial role, and included having her own Sarbanes-Oxley Consulting practice. Ms. Wieland holds an MBA degree from the Marshall School of Business, USC, (2003), an MA in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University (2000), and a BS is Accountancy from the Stern School of Business, NYU, and holds a New York State CPA license.
