The Accounting Department Advisory Board serves as a bridge between the Department and the business community, offering advice, collaboration and support to enhance the mission of the Department. The Accounting Department is dedicated to developing and sustaining long-term relationships with members of the business community to ensure the ongoing relevancy and vitality of our programs.
The mission of the Accounting Department Advisory Board is to enable an effective partnership between the business community and the Department. This mission will be accomplished by:

Leslie C. Daane, CPA (Chair, Accounting Advisory Board)
Barnard Vogler & Company
Managing Director, Director of Tax Services
Leslie C. Daane is Barnard Vogler & Co.'s Managing Director and Director of Tax Services. With over twenty years experience in public accounting, Leslie has provided a full range of audit, tax and consulting services to a wide variety of clients in various industries. Leslie currently concentrates in the areas of income and estate taxation, dealing with both compliance and planning. She provides technical research and consulting assistance on a wide range of tax and management issues.
Leslie graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. She is a certified public accountant licensed to practice in Nevada, and is a member of the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants (NVCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Leslie's community involvement has included a term on the State Board of Equalization, President of a private school board, and board member of various charitable organizations. She is a past President of the Estate Planning Council of Northern Nevada.

Marty Weigel
Ingenium Accounting Associates
President
President of Ingenium Accounting Associates, Marty oversees the daily operations of the company. Ingenium is a fully-accredited, independent, third-party auditor for both public and private companies. With a dedicated group of financial experts, Ingenium can manage your businesses' CFO functions and perform a number of other financial reporting services and business consulting tasks.
Prior to starting Ingenium, Marty was a partner at Mark Bailey & Company. He joined the firm in mid-2004 as a senior audit manager and was responsible for the firm's public and private company engagements and providing consulting services for non-attest public company clients. His consulting focused on internal control implementation, MD&A drafting, SEC filing preparation and review, and registration statement preparation.
Prior to joining the firm, Marty was a senior accountant for Kafoury Armstrong & Company, a large regional accounting firm in Nevada where he led audit engagements in various industries. He has heavy experience training and supervising audit team members. Marty also spent three years in the San Ramon, California office of Thomas Havey, LLP (formerly and currently Lindquist & Company) as a staff accountant.
Prior to entering the accounting profession, Marty obtained Series 7 & 63 licenses and served as a financial advisor in the Walnut Creek, California branch of Morgan Stanley.

Sandy Schulze, CPA
International Game Technology
Vice President, Corporate Controller
Sandy Schulze is the Vice President, Corporate Controller of IGT. In her current capacity, Sandy oversees accounting for a public company with revenues exceeding $2.5 billion annually and offices throughout the world. She is responsible for SEC financial reporting, the financial consolidation of IGT's global organization, technical accounting research, and operations accounting. She is involved in strategic corporate initiatives of the company, including mergers and acquisitions and capital deployment. She serves on IGT's Contributions Committee and Disclosure Committee. Sandy has been with IGT for over 15 years.
Sandy is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno and became a CPA while working with Deloitte & Touche in their Reno office.
Sandy is a member of the Renown Foundation Board, serving as Treasurer and as a member of Fianna's Healing Garden Committee. She is a member of the American Heart Association "Go Red" Committee. She is also a member of the Nevada Society of CPAs, the Institute of Management Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Controller's Leadership Roundtable. Sandy served as a member of the Task Force that recently rewrote the AICPA's Auditing and Accounting Guide for Casinos.

Todd Ferguson, CPA
Kafoury Armstrong & Company
Shareholder and CEO, Reno Office
As a shareholder in the firm, Todd Ferguson specializes in tax planning and preparation for corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, estates, trusts, and individuals. He also provides accounting and auditing services to a number of commercial entities with an emphasis in the gaming industry. Todd has been with the Firm since 1985 and is a licensed CPA in the State of Nevada. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Reno with a major emphasis in accounting.
He also holds a Master of Science degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University. Todd is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants. Todd has served as a board member and coach for the Reno Continental Little League and South Reno Babe Ruth and is a member of the Athletics Association of the University of Nevada, Reno.

Timothy Taylor, CPA
Taylor Gaming, LLC
Mr. Taylor is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Nevada. He graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno, Nevada, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in December 1992.
Upon graduating from the University of Nevada, Mr. Taylor joined the accounting firm of Grant Thornton in Reno, Nevada.
He then moved into operations for various gaming entities and spent over seven years as the Chief Executive Officer for the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians in Palm Springs, California. He was responsible for the Tribes overall growth by building two casino's from their initial development to their current ongoing operations.
For the past four years Taylor Gaming has been working with the Scotts Valley Band of Pomo Indians to build one of the biggest casinos in California. Taylor Gaming has consulted and also provided project specific services for many traditional and tribal casinos throughout the United States.

Paul Tibma

Audit and Accounting Partner
Paul Tibma is Freeman & William's Audit and Accounting Partner. He earned his Masters in Professional Accounting and Masters in Business Administration from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Mr. Tibma is a licensed CPA in the State of Nevada and State of California. Prior to joining Freeman & Williams, LLP, Mr. Tibma was an audit manager with a Big Four accounting firm. Mr. Tibma is responsible for the Audit and Accounting department at Freeman & Williams, LLP. As Audit and Accounting Partner, he coordinates the activities of over a dozen professionals in the performance of audit and accounting engagements in Northern Nevada and California.
