The Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) is located just five miles from the University campus. The airport is home to seven airlines with convenient access to most of the country.
BioFit participants will need to arrange their own transportation from the airport to the University campus.
The University campus is located near the junction of I-80 and I-580/U.S. 395. Those traveling by car are urged to check Nevada Department of Transportation Road Conditions for information related to road construction and closures.
BioFit participants will receive lodging as part of the five-day program.
Before BioFit - BioFit students planning to arrive before Aug. 16 can find lodging information at the Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority. There is no campus housing/lodging available prior to August 16th.
After BioFit - BioFit ends two days before the official freshmen residence hall move-in day (Aug. 22). But BioFit students who have applied for and received on-campus housing for 2013-2014 may choose to stay in their permanent assigned room for 2013-2014 at the conclusion of BioFit for an additional fee of $89.93 (covers additional lodging and meals). Otherwise, on campus housing students for 2013-2014 will need to find other accommodations until the official freshmen residence hall move-in day on Aug. 22.
(Updated May 1) The University's Parking Services department enforces parking regulations year round.
Students who have registered to live on campus and have purchased a year-long, yellow parking permit should receive their parking permit before BioFit from Parking Services.
Students who have not purchased a year-long permit may purchase a parking pass for BioFit for $6. Questions regarding this temporary pass can be handled at the program check-in.
