The Department of Art offers programs in undergraduate instruction combining studio and art history classes with diverse studies in the liberal arts. The Department's focus, as it moves from the beginning through intermediate and into advanced courses, is both discipline specific, as in our Bachelor of Arts Studio program and inter- and intra-disciplinary as in our Bachelor of Fine Arts offering. The Department also created a new Master of Fine Arts, Studio degree program.
Full discipline concentrations in the areas of: art education, art history, ceramics, digital and time-based media, drawing, graphic arts, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture, as well as experiences in the areas of performance art, gallery management and videography are available. The Department also participates in the University's Study Abroad Program offering both studio and academic courses to Nevada students studying abroad.
