Welcome to the School of the Arts at the University of Nevada, Reno. Established to help coordinate and nurture the extraordinarily diverse and vibrant arts endeavors happening on and around campus, the School brings together under one umbrella the departments of Art, Music, and Theatre and Dance, as well as the Black Rock Press, Sheppard Fine Arts Gallery, Nevada Repertory Company, Performing Arts Series, Reno Jazz Festival (now entering its second half century! ), Nevada Chamber Opera, and the Argenta Concert Series.

Please take a moment to browse the website, which features a host of new images and stories by and about our faculty and students, as well as links to each of the school's constituent departments and our ever-bustling calendar of events. I'm sure you will find all of the practical information you'll need about our academic programs, our on-going initiatives to expand and improve our facilities and other resources, and our upcoming performances, lectures, and gallery openings. Just as important, I trust it will also give you a sense of who we are - as artists, scholars, educators, and students - and why we're so proud and excited about what's happening here. Above all, I hope it will inspire you to join us on campus as we explore, support, teach, and create the arts in the 21^st century.
