The McNamara GalleryStudents in McNamara

Front Door Gallery and McNamara Gallery are the primary student galleries at the University of Nevada, Reno and showcase everything from student solos, two-person and group exhibitions, to student-curated and organized exhibits, as well as BFA and MFA midway exhibitions and shows by the Gallery Management and Curatorial Studies class. Leaning towards learning and experimenting, these spaces are for students and run by students through the Sheppard Fine Art Gallery. Opening receptions always correspond the same day as Sheppard Gallery’s professional exhibition season, so a large and diverse population of visitors to campus sees student artwork! Students from all corners of the Art Department are encouraged to be involved. Whether a new BA student, an Art History Major, BFA/MFA student, or an UNR alumna, anyone can apply to show in these public, highly visible spaces by dropping by Sheppard Gallery and telling us about your idea!
