      1. Successful completion of the foreign language requirement may be accomplished through one of six options: complete a fourth semester college course in a foreign language; complete two semesters of Latin ( LAT 111--First Year Latin I and LAT 112--First Year Latin II) and two semesters of Greek ( GRE 111--Elementary Classical Greek I and GRE 112--Elementary Classical Greek II); complete and transfer to UNR a fourth semester course in American Sign Language; demonstrate proficiency through placement examination or other means through the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures; show transcript evidence of successful completion of a fourth year high school course in foreign language; or participate in a studies abroad program pre-approved by the college to meet the foreign language requirement.
    2. College Breadth Requirement (6 credits)
      1. Students seeking a Bachelor of Arts degree in the college shall be required to take, within the College of Liberal Arts, two courses that are outside the departments in which they major or minor, and that exclude courses taken to fulfill Core Curriculum requirements.

      7. Courses to be chosen in consultation with advisor. In addition to the two semesters of ART 442 (Intermedia Studio) required of all BFA Candidates, candidates who take more than four semesters to complete this program are required to take ART 442 each additional semester until graduation.
