Donations

Each year, a specific area of campus is designated to be landscaped with plants that will enhance the arboretum's collection. All donations will collectively go towards the development of a particular landscape or garden. Donors and recipients are acknowledged on a single plaque which will be commemorated on the annual Arbor Day celebration in April. Within each landscape, individual plants may not be attributed to a specific donor or recipient. The selection and maintenance of the plant material will be made by the Arboretum Board and the Facilities Department. All donors will receive a written acknowledgement of their contributions which are fully tax deductible.

Arboretum Donor Recognition Program

• University Arboretum donors contributing less than $100 will receive an acknowledgement in the University's Arbor Day Celebration Program.
• Individual University Arboretum donors contributing $100 or more will be acknowledged on a site located plaque and in the University's Arbor Day Celebration Program
• University Arboretum donors contributing a Group of Trees (3-5), or a Grove of Trees (8-12) will receive a special acknowledgement on a site located plaque and in the University's Arbor Day Celebration Program.
• University Arboretum donors providing contributions totaling 50% (or more) of the total cost of an Arboretum Board special project, will meet with the director of Physical Plant and the chair of the University Arboretum Board to discuss an appropriate recognition.
