Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Spruce Tree

At the intersection of N. Center and E. Ninth streets, this spruce tree was planted in soil from Civil War battlefields and dedicated to the memory of the Grand Army of the Republic by the National Commander in Chief June 10, 1913. The Nevada Park System placed State Historical Marker No. 81 here on October 18, 1969.
