Biography: Elyse, a fourth-year MA student studying historical archaeology, has lived in Nevada all of her life. She started working on excavations at the age of sixteen, when she participated on the Boston Saloon Excavation in Virginia City. She continued her work in Virginia City with excavations at Piper's Opera House, a Chinese mercantile, and excavations in the summer of 2008 on Virginia City's Barbary Coast and Maguire's Opera House. She currently is working in Carson City at the NVSHPO office as a data assistant.
