About Us
The Nevada Alumni Association's mission is to foster and cultivate a common bond of pride, affinity and connectivity among alumni, students, prospective students and friends of the University of Nevada, Reno through quality programs, services and events.
The Nevada Alumni Association was incorporated in 1967 to unite the proud alumni of the state of Nevada’s flagship university. Any student completing a fully accredited semester is considered a member of our alumni family. Today, the Association serves more than 50,000 alumni, and countless university friends, by keeping them connected to the University of Nevada through programs, events, services, scholarships, chapters and clubs, and the Nevada Silver & Blue alumni magazine.
Nevada Alumni Council
The governing body of the University of Nevada Alumni Association is the Alumni Council. This group is comprised of 28 people, serving three-year terms. Additionally, a University of Nevada Foundation Representative, a Parliamentarian, an AAUN representative, the SAA (Student Alumni Association) President and the ASUN President join the Council in appointed positions. The full Alumni Council meets three times per year, with the Council Executive Committee meeting on a monthly basis. Council meetings are open to all alumni, as well as the public.
