There are two types of identification cards available to university employees. The first type is a photograph identification card issued by the Joe Crowley Student Union office to faculty and classified staff who occupy continuing positions. These cards are considered a "permanent" ID card and have no expiration date. There is a fee to replace a lost photograph ID card.
The second type of ID card does not have a picture and is available for employees who do not occupy continuing positions or do not wish to have a photograph card. These cards are issued annually by UNR Human Resources, upon an employee's request, and carry an expiration date of June 30 or the employment dismissal date, whichever is earlier.
Either ID card is valid to identify a person as a university employee when picking up a paycheck or when using university facilities. The photograph ID card has the added feature of supporting a debit account that offers convenient access to food and vending services. For more information, on this feature, contact the Residential Life, Housing and Food Services office.
ID cards must be surrendered upon dismissal.
