Classified positions at grade 20 or above require a one year full-time equivalent probationary period. Positions at grade 19 or below require a six month full-time equivalent probationary period.
Those positions designated as "automatic advancement" will normally serve the appropriate probationary period for the level at which originally appointed. At the successful completion of a training period, the incumbent may move to the next authorized level upon recommendation of the appointing authority, meeting the minimum requirements and comptleting any testing requirements.
