To begin the reclassification process, an NPD-19 Position Questionnaire form must be completed and signed by the employee and the appropriate appointing authority. This form is to be submitted to BCN Human Resources.
Along with the NPD-19, a VPAF 202 form must be submitted to BCN Human Resources. The VPAF 202 form serves as funding approval for the proposed action. The VPAF 202 must be approved by Planning, Budget & Analysis prior to any personnel action being taken. If there are insufficient funds to cover any resulting reclassification, then higher-level duties and responsibilities cannot be assigned or must be removed from the position.

A position may only be reclassified when there has been a significant change in the duties and responsibilities being performed.
