35: Legal Counsel

In order to avoid overburdening the Chancellor's Office with requests for assistance and to maintain good informational flow within the university, the following procedure and policy should be observed by UNR personnel:

NSHE legal counsel is available only for university business and not personal matters. Deans and Faculty Senate chair should inform the president or academic vice president of any matter they wish to discuss with legal counsel. All others must receive permission through their dean or director from the appropriate vice president before requesting assistance from legal counsel.
