                        Math & Writing centers.

                        Improved communication among advisors.

                        Collaboration with K-12 on preparation.

Enforce prerequisites.

Ensure departments have 4-year plans for all degrees.

Outreach should be rewarded.

Ph.D.’s are ready for the academic life (grant writing, teaching, advising, designing courses).

Low pay for Loa’s.

Appropriate rewards, consideration for advising.

Continue to upgrade the technology.

Increased admin responsibilities for faculty has led to diminished focus on CTA.

Recognize the need for adequate monies for advising.

More resources for Dbases, curriculum , assessment and advising.

Writing course geared toward disciplinary need (writing about literacy).

Compensation for summer advising.

Mandatory advising at key points.

More diverse course delivery.

Courses need to be offered more frequently or provide more options for course substitutions.

Eliminate courses from catalog that have not been taught in a certain period.

Appropriate rewards for teaching excellence.

Too many LOA adjuncts, uneven quality, lack of program continuity and office hours.

Formal training for graduate students and Jr. Faculty.

Trimesters – turn summer into a full semester, not mini sessions.

Need more consistency in cross-campus advising.

Better measures of quality teaching and advising.

Simultaneous UNR & TMCC enrollment.

Students should commit to one campus at a time

More departments should train for teaching their outgoing graduate students.

Assessment activity should be recognized as scholarly activity.

Required courses: Should they be required if offered only every other year.

Sufficient number of entry-level core classes.

Physical facilities limit classroom size
