- Commencement Dates and Information
Families, friends, and the general public are cordially invited to attend the Commencement ceremony. Ushers will escort special guests to the reserved seating area. Seating is first come, first serve. Seating for individuals with disabilities is available. Ushers will escort individuals with disabilities to the designated locations.
Special Accommodations: Interpreters for the deaf will be present at the ceremony. Please follow the signs or ask a Student Ambassador for the location of the designated seating. If you require additional accommodations, please contact Kim Bonnenfant at (775) 682-5905.
Parking: Public parking is available in the parking complexes north (West Stadium) and south (Brian J. Whalen) of the Lawlor Events Center. Disabled parking is available in the West Stadium location. The shuttle service will be operating.
As a service to students and their parents, a professional photographer will take a color photograph of each graduate as they receive a scroll. Order forms will be available prior to, during, and after Commencement.
Spring commencement only: In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held at the Lawlor Events Center on North Virginia Street. In the event the ceremony is moved to Lawlor Events Center, graduating students should report to the ticket office entrance.
