One way that Mackay is able to achieve its vision of excellence in the earth sciences is through its close relations with organizations such as the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and Desert Research Institute (DRI).

USGS
Mackay's cooperative agreement with the USGS allows for some outstanding opportunities for graduate students to perform collaborative research with USGS scientists of the Western Minerals Resources Team.

To find out more about current USGS research, visit the Western Minerals Resources website .

DRI
A research leader in the terrestrial, hydrologic, atmospheric, and anthropologic sciences, DRI and Mackay maintains a partnership through the Nevada Space Grant Consortium. Space Grant provides funding for students interested in aerospace science and outreach to K-12 students.
