    NIAA State Boys & Girls Basketball Championships

    The 2014 NIAA Division I Northern Region boys and girls Basketball Championship tournaments, presented by the Les Schwab Tire Centers of Northern Nevada, are scheduled to be contested Tuesday, February 18 (girls quarterfinals) and Wednesday, February 19 (boys quarterfinals) at host sites; Thursday, February 20 (girls semifinals) and Friday, February 21 (boys semifinals) at Spanish Springs High School; and Saturday, February 22 (girls and boys finals) at Spanish Springs High School in Sparks.

    The format for this year's tournaments is an eight-team, single-elimination bracket. The top four (4) boys/girls teams out of the High Desert League and the top four (4) boys/girls teams out of the Sierra League, both based on regular-season standings, qualify for the Division I Northern Region tournament.  The Northern Region tournament champion and runner-up (top two teams) will advance to the 2014 NIAA Division I Nevada State High School boys/girls Basketball Championship tournament(s), presented by the Farmers Insurance Group. The state tournament is scheduled to be played Thursday, February 27 (semifinals) and Friday, February 28 (finals) at Lawlor Events Center.

    Admission prices for NIAA post-season region events are: Adults $10, Students with validated ID $5, Senior Citizens age 62 and older $3, Children age 8 and younger are free. Tickets will be sold the day of the games at the venue.
